Somtimes the road to success is simple. The performence at Empire Bio cinema in Nørrebro are screened one hour later than the rest of the cinemas in town. The first open in ages, has cornered the lokal market among youngsters and young families in the neighbourhood. But the success is not least due to the many Copenhageners who go to Nørrebro because they can do without the hassle of knocking back their dinner in time for the 19.00 performance, or who perhaps would prefer to wait for the 22.30 performance, giving them an hour longer to spend with friens at the café. The repertoire is much the same as other cinemas, but there are no commercials, and perhaps fewer Hollywood action movie block busters. The auditoriums have huge screens and quality sound systems, and yet another stroke of genious, that ought to commend a lot of respect from other cinema owners - they have a kissing row! Empire Bio has reacted to the universial choice of lovers and simply installed small sofas for two. Just big enough to sit arm in arm, but perhaps just too small for... well, you know. And you have ample leg space too.
